Construct Grading, Aggregate Base, HMA Paving, Drainage, Concrete Barrier, Midwest Guardrail System, Retaining Wall, Signing, Striping, Landscaping, and Electrical work at the SR 37/Fairgrounds Interchange under the Caltrans 2023 Standard Specifications and Standard Plans.

The Project consists of parking lot improvements fronting Suisun Street near Common St. in Suisun City, CA. Proposed improvements include but not limited to curb and gutter, vertical curb, retaining walls, subdrain pipe, drainage swale, bioretention curbs, sidewalk, driveway, asphalt pavement plugs, asphalt digouts, storm drainage pipe, curb inlets, dome inlets, bioretention area, adjusting inlets, coordination with utility companies for box adjustments, asphalt paving and class 2 aggregate base in parking lot, pavement markings, lighting, security system, landscaping, planting, irrigation, underground electrical, foundations for electrical equipment, removal of existing fences and installation of new neighborhood wooden fence and ornamental fence and sliding gate and pedestrian gate with knock box for access, key pad access, access cards, detector loops, installation of new EV charging station and all other associated electrical work. Additional work includes miscellaneous sidewalk demo and replacement work to install new fences and gates at the back of new Authority office building, pursuant to Caltrans 2018 Standard Specifications and Standard Plans.

General work description: The work to be done includes the installation of a new steel structure canopy located over the existing bus parking spaces intended to provide support for Battery Electric Bus charging equipment and solar panels. The project also includes new electrical distribution underground and above ground with modifications to the existing building. The steel structure canopy will require deep underground piers and tie beams resulting in demolition and replacement of some existing concrete under the Caltrans 2018 Standard Specifications and Standard Plans.

Proposed improvements include but are not limited to procuring and installing bus shelters/benches, street light poles, luminaires, junction boxes, conduits and conductors. Construction activities will generally consist of trenching, installing electrical facilities (lighting), and installing bus shelters pursuant to Caltrans 2018 Standard Specifications and Standard Plans.
