The overall mission of the San Joaquin County Department of Public Works is to plan, design, construct, operate and maintain the County infrastructure, which includes public roads, transportation systems, bridges, water, wastewater, channel maintenance and solid waste disposal systems of the County, in order to best serve the interests of the people. These systems are maintained to protect the health and welfare of the public and the County’s financial investments. Public Works also provides vehicle support for the County, including procurement support, heavy and light vehicle maintenance and repair, and daily rental services.

The San Joaquin County Department of Public Works (SJCDPW) requests technical proposals from qualified consulting engineering consultants (CONSULTANT) to undertake, perform, and complete the tasks set forth in Request for Proposals (RFP) – SJCDPW-RFP-25-06. The selected consultant will provide professional and technical design engineering services for Phase II Final Design of the Grant Line Road Realignment Project (PROJECT). The selected CONSULTANT will be the highest-ranking CONSULTANT that has successfully negotiated the terms for award of a consulting services agreement. CONSULTANT shall be required to provide all labor, equipment, tools, and facilities necessary for the completion of the PROJECT. CONSULTANT will be required to have knowledge of County, California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) and Federal High Way Administration standards and processes on transportation projects. The requested services will include designing and engineering improvements for a realignment of Grant Line Road between the city of Tracy and Interstate 5 based on the preferred alternative. Additional elements of the project design include improvements to restrict access into the Banta community to prevent cut-through traffic movements. All work shall comply with the County Policies, Caltrans Local Assistance Procedure Manual. SJCDPW-RFP-25-07
The San Joaquin County Department of Public Works (SJCDPW) requests technical proposals from qualified construction management (CM) firms to undertake, perform, and complete the tasks outlined in the Request for Proposals – SJCDPW-RFP-25-07. The selected CM firm will perform professional and technical engineering services for the proposed Escalon Road Bridge No. 29C-476 Replacement Project. The requested professional construction management services shall include, but are not limited to: constructability review, contract administration, part-time resident engineering, full-time construction inspection, public outreach, labor compliance review, stakeholder coordination, quality assurance, materials sampling and testing, and maintenance of project records for the PROJECT. The scope of work also encompasses documentation of preconstruction conditions, schedule and lead periodic meetings, review of material submittals and construction schedules, responses to requests for information (RFIs), management of contract modifications, change orders, and claims, coordination with stakeholders, and preparation and distribution of project-related notifications, including those required by regulatory agencies before and after construction. Additional responsibilities include project closeout, punch-list preparation and final acceptance, development of as-built drawings, and other miscellaneous construction administration tasks. SJAFCA-RFP-25-02
The San Joaquin Area Flood Control Agency (SJAFCA) requests proposals from a prime contractor of a consultant team to undertake, perform, and complete tasks set forth in this Request for Proposal, SJAFCA-RFP-25-02 (RFP). SJAFCA is the administrator of this RFP. The selected consultant/consultant team (CONSULTANT) shall be contracted by SJAFCA to perform professional consulting services (SERVICES) related to construction management for the Mossdale Urban Flood Risk Reduction Project (Project). Design of the Project will be completed under a separate RFP. The prime contractor or any member of its consultant team cannot provide both design/permitting and construction management services for this Project. The separately selected design team will provide engineering during construction services through a separate contract. The CONSULTANT is required to provide all labor, equipment, tools, and facilities necessary for completion of its SERVICES for the Project and has the option of using sub-consultants to accomplish this.
