The Project generally includes the following major items of work: The Work is generally described as replacement of an existing 250kW diesel-engine standby power generator with a new 250kW diesel-engine standby power generator. Work includes demolition and removal of the existing fuel storage tank and cast-in-place concrete containment structure, and removal and disposal of potentially-contaminated backfill material within the containment structure. The existing generator and control panel are to be removed and salvaged for Owner’s reuse. Work also includes demolition and removal of the cast-in-place concrete generator pad. Construction of a new cast-in-place concrete pad to support the proposed generator and associated skid-mounted equipment is included in the Work. The new standby power generator is to be furnished with an integral skid-mounted fuel storage system as part of the skid base unit. All conduit, cables, grounding, instrumentation, field connections with the existing automatic transfer switch, power distribution panels, and SCADA panel, along with the new generator interface panel are included in the Work to provide a fully-functioning standby power generator system. The Work includes temporary provisions including temporary construction access road, a temporary emergency generator connection, site protection measures, soil erosion control, and storage for construction equipment and materials.
