The 6’ by 11’ area is to be saw cut (using previous saw-cut joints), and the existing precast concrete catch basin is to be up to remove the old compacted stone. Once the catch basin is removed. Next, the vendor will need to install a new precast concrete catch basin, which will be placed on the new compacted stone and then backfilled with new compacted #304 stone and a minimum of 4” of compacted PG64-22 asphalt. The existing stormwater pipes are to be fitted back into the new catch basin and sealed around the existing stormwater pipes so that groundwater does not flow between the pipes and the catch basin. The new 4” asphalt will be placed and compacted in 2” lifts. The perimeter of the patch is to be crack-sealed.
