The overall mission of the San Joaquin County Department of Public Works is to plan, design, construct, operate and maintain the County infrastructure, which includes public roads, transportation systems, bridges, water, wastewater, channel maintenance and solid waste disposal systems of the County, in order to best serve the interests of the people. These systems are maintained to protect the health and welfare of the public and the County’s financial investments. Public Works also provides vehicle support for the County, including procurement support, heavy and light vehicle maintenance and repair, and daily rental services.

SJCDPW-RFP-25-02
The San Joaquin County Department of Public Works (SJCDPW) requests technical proposals from qualified consulting firms to undertake, perform, and complete the tasks set forth in Request for Proposals – SJCDPW-RFP-25-02. The selected consulting firm (CONSULTANT) will perform professional and technical engineering services for the Airport Way Precise Plan (PLAN). The PLAN will focus on establishing the ultimate configuration of Airport Way between the City of Stockton limits at French Camp Road and the City of Manteca limits south at Roth Road that is necessary to serve future travel demands in south San Joaquin County. Alternatives considered by the PLAN will continue to facilitate industrial operations, including truck traffic, on and near the corridor and evaluate bicycle facilities for continuity with adjacent City planning. The requested services will include public outreach, existing conditions analysis, and proposing transportation alternatives.. CONSULTANT will be requested to enter into a Consultant Services Agreement with San Joaquin County (County). All work shall comply with San Joaquin County Policies. SJCDPW-RFP-23-05
The San Joaquin County Department of Public Works (SJCDPW) requests technical proposals from qualified consulting firms to undertake, perform, and complete the tasks set forth in Request for Proposals – SJCDPW-RFP-23-05. The selected consulting firm (CONSULTANT) will perform professional and technical engineering services for the San Joaquin Countywide Sidewalk Connectivity Plan (PLAN). The PLAN will focus on creating a comprehensive database of sidewalk coverage at targeted locations throughout unincorporated San Joaquin County (County). The ideal Plan will identify, assess, and track the condition and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance of the existing sidewalk infrastructure. Ultimately, the goal is to analyze present existing conditions of over 325 miles of roadway in the unincorporated County and recommend improvements to increase connectivity, accessibility, and safety of the sidewalk network. Likewise, the end result will also include identification of potential Active Transportation Program eligible projects. The requested services will include extensive outreach, proposing pedestrian improvements, evaluating circulation and making recommendations, and identifying investment strategies for the construction of future projects.. The selected consulting firm will perform professional services for the Countywide Computerized Maintenance Management System Software (CMMS). SJCDPW desires to transform current processes into a data-driven service tool designed to receive, track, and display status on service requests via various portals (i.e., phone, web, customer service representative, etc.). The qualified consulting firm will convert these service requests into work orders as circumstances dictate, and be able to store and utilize the data captured as a result of all service related activity to conduct data analysis to calculate cost of services provided by SJCDPW, and identify areas of importance based on activity (trend analysis). The San Joaquin Area Flood Control Agency (SJAFCA) invites qualified consulting firms to submit statement of qualifications (SOQ) to perform a variety of professional engineering and related services to support SJAFCA’s flood risk reduction programs. The purpose of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to establish a list of qualified firms per technical discipline that can support SJAFCA’s programs through subsequent consultant service agreements. The most qualified firms may be requested to enter into a master services agreement to provide services on an on-call basis. From time to time, as SJAFCA needs to utilize consultant resources, SJAFCA will either utilize the master services agreement, or issue request proposals from consultants from the required technical discipline. Generally, the services, as described in more detail below, consist of concept and feasibility-level planning support, engineering, environmental, real estate, economic analysis, grant preparation, and supporting technical disciplines required to advance flood risk reduction studies and designs. Special consideration will be given to firms with direct and proven experience on the State of California Department of Water Resources (DWR) Urban Flood Risk Reduction (UFRR) requirements, integration of multi-benefit opportunities and features, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ planning and design processes, and Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Levee Accreditation Program.
