R17CN07 CMAR Arborway Bus Maintenance Facility Project Description The objective of the project is to construct a new, modern bus maintenance and storage facility for up to 200 buses at 500 Arborway. The new facility will support a mixed fleet of battery electric buses and hybrid electric buses. The proposed project includes a new two-story indoor maintenance facility (46,000 SF), a new two-story operations facility (17,000 SF), charging infrastructure facility (16,000 SF), and a new one-story servicing and wash building (14,000 SF), as well as a parking canopy covering the up to 200 bus storage area. The parking canopy will be, at minimum, solar-ready. The project must accommodate approximately 200 parking spaces for employee vehicles (MBTA and employee owned) preferably on site. The scope of work also includes the demolition and abatement of the existing buildings on the 500 Arborway and 327 Forest Hills Street property. [MA

DB North Station Draw One Bridge Replacement and Associated Track & Signal Upgrades, Boston, Cambridge and Somerville, MA The purpose of the North Station Draw One Bridge Replacement and Associated Track & Signal Upgrades Project is to replace the Draw One Bridge, the Signal Tower A, and associated MBTA track and signal infrastructure. The existing Draw One Bridge consists of two adjacent two-track bridge spans crossing the Charles River. Signal Tower A is located just north of the Draw One Bridge, east of the tracks. Due to the deteriorated condition of the building, a temporary control tower was built in 2018. Conduits below grade connect the temporary control tower to equipment in the adjacent Signal Tower A. CMAR Downtown Crossing Phase 2 and Central Square Station Accessibility Improvements, Boston and Cambridge, MA Project Description DTX Phase II: Macy’s Elevator - Construction and installation of a new 2-stop Macy’s elevator, which will provide connection from, and, to the Orange Line Northbound to the Red Line Southbound Platforms, along with the associated mechanical rooms and machinery. Winter Street Elevator: Replacement of the existing 2-stop Winter Street elevator with a larger, 3-stop elevator, which will provide transfers from, and, to street level, Orange Line Southbound, & Red Line Southbound Platforms, along with the associated mechanical rooms, machinery, new Red Line Lobby Area, and extension of the South Passageway. Park Street Elevator: Construction and installation of a 2-stop Park Street elevator, which will provide connection from, and, to Orange Line Southbound, Green Line Eastbound, and Red Line Center Platform, along with associated mechanical rooms and machinery. Central Square Station: Work consists of updating Central Square Station to meet current accessibility requirements. Specifically, the proposed project will replace existing elevator #860 and elevator hoistway which extends from the Red Line outbound platform up to street level in Central Square. Additionally, the work includes the construction of two new elevators, one inbound and one outbound which extend from the Red Line inbound and outbound platform up to street level in Central Square, these will require curb modifications and traffic bollards along Mass Ave. New Areas of Rescue Assistance, one inbound and one outbound will be located adjacent to the new elevators and will be equipped with Stryker chairs, emergency call boxes and smoke proof enclosures. The inbound escalator will be modernized with a HD Transit-rated escalator with two step run-on and run-off to fit within the existing concrete areaway.

Ashmont TPSS and Mattapan TPSS/VMF Upgrades Ashmont: This project will replace existing traction power equipment and add additional traction power equipment in order to meet the increased power requirements of the expanded Codman Yard and the upgrade of the Mattapan High Speed Line. The project will also renovate the building structure of the Ashmont Traction Power Substation in order to return the facility to a state of good repair. Mattapan: The Mattapan VMF and TPSS Projects are a part of the overall Mattapan Line Transformation Program, which aims to modernize the Mattapan Line as well increase accessibility and improve the reliability of the service. The program’s primary objective is to implement the necessary infrastructure upgrades to accommodate Type 9 light rail vehicles, allowing for the retirement of the existing PCC trolleys. CMAR 200 Newport Ave Operations Control Center (OCC) Quincy MA. The scope of this project includes design and construction of a new Operations Control Center located on the 8th floor of 200 Newport Avenue in Quincy, MA. The 200 Newport OCC will replace the existing OCC at 45 High St and will render that location the backup. The OCC space will accommodate heavy rail ops, light rail ops, bus ops, vehicle maintenance dispatchers, public information officials, emergency response officials, etc. Also to be included in this project (adjacent to the OCC) are space for the Security Operations Center, Maintenance Control Center, and Power Dispatchers, conference spaces, Operations training spaces, etc. Scope of work includes architectural, MEP, FP alterations to the space to accommodate the above.
