The Kenai Peninsula Borough's Purchasing and Contracting Department provides support and service to the various entities of the Borough. The department's objectives are to obtain materials, equipment, and/or services in a timely, cost effective manner, and at the best value to the Borough. We provide all departments and service areas of the Borough with clear guidance as it pertains to purchasing policies and procedures, and ensure that appropriations are used wisely and in the best interest of the Borough while preserving the integrity and fairness of the competitive process.

ITB25-069 HOHE STREET ABATEMENT AND DEMOLITION
The Kenai Peninsula Borough hereby invites qualified firms to submit a firm price for acceptance by the Borough for ITB25-069 Hohe Street Abatement and Demolition. The project consists of building demolition and site remediation of the property at 4135 Hohe Street, Homer, AK 99603, and as needed - hazardous material testing, abatement and /or monitoring. The site encompasses a 12,197 square foot (0.28 acres) lot, with an approx. 2,000 square foot bi-level structure built in 1973. This building (renovated in 2021) with an attached garage, consists of a common entrance, upper-level living space, a basement, office rooms, and bathrooms. A pre-bid conference will be held at 4135 Hohe Street in Homer, Alaska, on April 28, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Attendance at the pre-bid is not mandatory but is strongly recommended. This contract is subject to the provision of State of Alaska, Title 36, Minimum Wage Rates. The subsequent contract will require certificates of insurance and may require performance and payment bonds.

ITB25-060 STREAMBED MAINTENANCE OF KWECHAK CREEK
The Kenai Peninsula Borough and the Seward Bear Creek Flood Service Area (SBCFSA) are seeking qualified contractors to complete channel construction and sediment extraction, identified as unclassified excavation at the Salmon Creek through the Nautical subdivision identified in the attached documents. The project consists of constructing a creek channel and removing unclassified excavation per design drawing specification. Project is approximately 7,800 river feet. ITB24-023 CALCIUM CHLORIDE PURCHASE FY24
The Kenai Peninsula Borough hereby invites qualified firms to submit a firm price for acceptance by the Borough to purchase an estimated 1,432,830 pounds of Anhydrous Calcium Chloride, 94 –97% mini pellets, industrial grade and must be in no less than 2,000-pound bags and no more than 2,700-pound bags. Bags must have a bottom discharge chute for easy release of the product. The mini pellets must meet the classification of Anhydrous Calcium Chloride Type S, Grade 3, Class B, according to the ASTM D-98 and AASHTO M 144 requirement of calcium chloride purity.
