Drainage – Repair & Replacement The project consists of both emergency & scheduled repairs and/or adjustment of rebuilding of drainage structures to proper grade, as well as the emergency & scheduled repair and/or replacement, and installation of new & existing statewide DCR drainage infrastructure The estimated project cost is $10,500,000 The work is to be accomplished within 1095 calendar days of notice to proceed. Liquidated damages in the amount of $500 per day will be assessed if the work has not been completed in accordance with the provisions of the contract within the time specified (as extended by any authorized extension of time granted in accordance with the contract provisions). Bidders must be pre-qualified by the Massachusetts Dept. of Transportation (MassDOT) Highway Division in DRAINAGE to bid on the above project. An award will not be made to a Contractor who is not pre-qualified by MassDOT prior to the opening of Proposals. New Bedford State Pier North Wharf Reconstruction The project consists selective demolition, over sheeting of the pier bulkhead, construction of new pile supported structures, float System improvements (gravity sewer line, power pedestals, lighting), grounds improvements (sink hole repair and ramp construction), installation of new gangway to the MEP floats, fence and gating improvements, repair of select Ro-Ro access structure piles, and concrete replacement to select areas of the North Wharf.
