The City of Columbus is accepting bids for Operation Safewalks - Joyce Avenue Phase 3 Re-Bid, C.I.P. No. 590955-100017, the work for which consists of: the reconstruction of 0.70 mile portion of Joyce Avenue and adjacent side streets from approximately 900’ north of 17th Avenue to approximately 125’ north of Kenmore Avenue. Project includes: pavement widening, water line installation, street trees, drainage improvements, sanitary sewer improvements, pedestrian walks and shared use path, replacement of existing traffic signals at Joyce Avenue/Maynard as well as detention basins at 25th Avenue/Joyce Avenue., and other such work as may be necessary to complete the contract, in accordance with the plans 2906 Drawer E and specifications set forth in this Invitation For Bid (IFB).

ADA Ramp Projects – Citywide Curb Ramps 2016 Project 1 - The City of Columbus, Department of Public Service is receiving bids until June 7, 2016 at 3:00pm local time, for construction services for the ADA Ramp Projects – Citywide Curb Ramps 2016 Project 1. Bids are to be submitted only at www.bidexpress.com. Hard copies shall not be accepted. The project work consists of building ADA curb ramps at various locations in Columbus based on the 311 Service Request Ramp Priority List, and other such work as may be necessary to complete the contract in accordance with the plans and specifications set forth at Bid Express. The City of Columbus is accepting bids for Grandview Yard - Third Ave Railroad Bridge, C.I.P. No. 000459-000001 OPWC Number: DCT02, , the work for which consists of: widening and reconstructing Third Avenue from a point 375' west of CSX railroad bridge to a point 400' east of the bridge. Approximately 300 feet of a new 3 lane roadway, Rail Street, will also be constructed to the south of Third Avenue. A shared use path and a sidewalk will be installed. Drainage, traffic control, and landscape improvements are proposed. The CSX railroad overpass will be replaced. Rail track improvements will also be made at the new overpass structure. The traffic signal at Fifth Avenue and Edgehill Road Intersection will be replaced. The curb ramps and adjacent sidewalk will be installed around the intersection to meet ADA compliance standards.

The project shall consist of the removal of trip hazards resulting from a difference in the elevation of abutting sidewalk panels within the corporation limits of the City of Columbus. The method of repair for this contract will be by saw cutting the panel horizontally to eliminate vertical difference and result in a smooth uniform surface. Grinding, leveling, or other similar repair methods are not allowable for the purpose of this contract. Collection and removal of resulting debris is included as part of the repair and incidental to that work. Any resulting crack or void of ½” or greater is to be filled with an approved material and considered a separate item for payment.

The City of Columbus, Department of Public Service is REBIDDING the Bridge Rehabilitation – Annual Citywide Contract 2016 project for construction services until May 5, 2016 at 3:00 P.M. local time. Bids are to be submitted only at www.bidexpress.com. Hard copies shall not be accepted. The project shall consist of routine maintenance to several bridges within the City of Columbus. Work includes crack sealing, concrete patching, tuck pointing, railing repairs, guardrail repairs, epoxy injection, maintenance of traffic, asphalt resurfacing, sealing of cracks in bridges, and replacement of expansion joints. The project is being rebid due to a large pay item not being included in the original bid listing. A pre-bid meeting will not be held.
