Background: In light of recurring power failures and a lack of adequate back-up power facilities at the City Hall Facility, the City would like to replace the existing facilities with a reliable, secondary power source. Additionally, due to location of and the recent damage to the buildings motor control center it is the desire of the City to harden this facility with an exterior motor control center and installation of properly sized back-up power facilities to mitigate future, potential concerns in event of outages related to hurricanes, hard freezes, etc. This project will improve the facility’s durability, preparedness for natural disasters, sustainability for the operation of the City, and increase reliability for customers system-wide. This work shall be performed by utilizing various methods, including point repairs, cured in place pipe lining (CIPP), pipe bursting methods and related work.
