I. Background:
In light of recurring power failures and a lack of adequate back-up power facilities at the City Hall Facility, the City would like to replace the existing facilities with a reliable, secondary power source. Additionally, due to location of and the recent damage to the buildings motor control center it is the desire of the City to harden this facility with an exterior motor control center and installation of properly sized back-up power facilities to mitigate future, potential concerns in event of outages related to hurricanes, hard freezes, etc. This project will improve the facility’s durability, preparedness for natural disasters, sustainability for the operation of the City, and increase reliability for customers system-wide.
II. Scope of Services:
Design of complete electrical and back-up power solutions. This Work shall include:
• Furnish and Install 450KW, Natural Gas Generator
• Furnish and Install an Automatic Transfer Switch
• Installation of Generator Slab
• Installation of a new exterior MCC building
• Installation of a new MCC
• Installation of splice blocks, conduit and wire to extend existing feeds to MCC building.

I. Scope of Services:
Due to flooding from previous storm events, the City of Lake Charles evaluated several lift stations that were unable to properly pump the collected wastewater flows into the stations. The existing mechanical and electrical design configurations of these lift stations were the limiting factor of proper operation during the flooding. Proposed mechanical improvements include installation of new dry-pit submersible pumps that would enable the pumping of wastewater during flood events. Proposed electrical improvements include elevating the lift station’s control panels and switchgear above the 100-year base flood elevation.
A. Mechanical Evaluation – Mechanical improvements include installation of new dry-pit submersible pumps and the replacement of all suction and discharge valves and header piping to enable the pumping of wastewater during flood events at the following pump stations:

The intent of this Contract is to provide for construction and completion, in every detail, of the Work described. This project generally consists of extending the existing 16″ PVC water line and 24″ PVC gravity waste water line on East McNeese Street to the east approximately 2,143 linear feet and 1,836 linear feet respectively.
The project will include the following items of work:
1. Clearing and grubbing;
2. Construction of a new water line and gravity waste water lines and appurtenances;
3. Removal and construction of permanent fencing;
4. Site grading and hydroseeding;
5. Pressure and leak testing of new waste water facilities and water lines and disinfection and Health Department water testing of the new water line.
