I. Scope of Services:
Contractor shall complete the Work as specified and indicated in the Contract Documents for Wastewater Treatment Plant B/C – Sludge Processing Improvements (Capital Project Number CP3427). This Work includes, but is not limited to, the following:
• Removal and Replacement of Pressurized Air Headers/Diffusers within Digestors.
• Installation of Access Hardware for Operation/Maintenance of Digestors.
• Construction of New Blower Building for Process Equipment.
• Removal and Replacement of Air Blowers and Header Piping for Aerated Digestion.
• Construction of New Motor Control Center.
• Reconstruction of Existing Sludge Pump Station.
• Construction of New Sludge Processing Building.
• Installation of Screw Presses for Solids Processing.
• Installation of Dewatering Polymer Feed System.
• Installation of Conveyance System for Solids Handling/Disposal.
• Interconnections to Owner’s SCADA for Control/Monitoring.
• Miscellaneous Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical Work as Required to Complete the Work.

The general scope of work for Muirfield Drive Drainage Phase II consists of the installation of approximately 1400 linear feet of 36” diameter storm drainage pipe to augment the existing drainage system. This pipe installation begins on the west side of Lot 19 of Turnberry Row subdivision and continues to the west line and into Lot 5 of the Muirfield Village Phase One subdivision. This additional drainage system will be installed along and within the limits of the Lake Charles Country Club Golf Course boundary.

Sale Road Bridge Repair

The general scope of work for this project is the repair of the Sale Road bridge over Lateral L-2A of Contraband Bayou. This bridge exhibited various defects shortly after it was constructed in 2014. These defects included road pavement settlement, broken tie-rods, drainage pipe/box failures, etc. This project’s repair scope includes:
• Construction of a new concrete deadman tie-rod anchor assembly to restore support to the sheet pile wall;
• Replace failed drainage concrete pipe and boxes;
• Removal and replacement of reinforced concrete pavement;
• The associated traffic management, including detour signage.

The City of Lake Charles Wastewater Division owns and operates the Contraband Lift Station. Wastewater Division personnel have indicated that at a minimum the following items must be addressed as part of the rehabilitation project:
1. Remove existing pumps/motors and replace with dry pit submersible pumps, and upgrade electrical equipment as needed to accommodate new pumps
2. New pumps are to be equipped with variable frequency drives. Due to the size of these drives, a new slab on grade building will house the drives. This new electrical building will have a brick veneer and architectural shingle roof.
3. In addition to the new electrical building, addition site improvements include new P.C.C. pavement, green slatted hurricane fencing with brick columns, and improvements to the access road leading to the lift station site.
4. All suction and discharge valves are to be replaced with new.
5. Existing wet well is to be cleaned, repaired, and coated.

Sale Road Lift Station
Wet Well Wall Structural Rehabilitation

Contractor shall provide all materials, all labor, supervision, tools, construction equipment, transportation, services, incidentals and temporary facilities, including electrical power, water, sanitary facilities, offices, and warehouses and other services necessary to construct, complete in place and accepted the new Wet Well Wall Structural Rehabilitation at the Sale Road Lift Station located at 715 W. Sale Road in the City of Lake Charles, Louisiana. All work shall be in accordance with the plans and specifications and/or engineer approved shop drawings.
In general, the work includes, but is not limited to the following:
a. Mobilization
b. Temporary signs and barricades
c. Construct and remove steel sheet pile retaining walls
d. Excavation and disposal of spoils
e. Construct new concrete seal slab
f. Pressure wash the exterior wall surfaces and apply bonding adhesive to the existing wet well walls
g. Construct new concrete exterior wall sections on one side at a time in three (3) lifts per wall.
h. Furnish, place and compact sand backfill
i. Construct aggregate backfill cap at top of fill
j. Remove and replace new 4 foot chain link fence
k. Final cleanup, including hydroseeding

Project Summary:
Modified Roof Area
1. Remove existing roof membrane and related sheet metal items down to the wood deck.
2. Repair wood deck as required.
3. Remove drain bowl and drain lines. Close holes with 16 galvanized sheet metal.
4. Loose lay red rosin sheet.
5. Install specified insulation (3” Polyisocyanurate Insulation) with fasteners.
6. Install tapered insulation (1/4” : 12” per foot slope) and recovery board (Six Sided Asphalt Impregnated Wood Fiber) in hot asphalt.
7. Install two-ply, high performance Type III SBS Modified roofing system with granulated surface.
8. Install new metal flashings, expansion joint covers and prefabricated metal edge assembly.
9. Fabricate and install new gutters and downspouts.
10. Provide and install new soffit panel system around perimeter of building.
11. Provide and install sheet metal around existing wood beams.
12. Contractor responsible for all electrical and mechanical work required to complete the specified work. Work may include raising curbs and air conditioning units.
Shingle Roof Area
1. Remove existing shingles and related sheet metal items down to the wood deck.
2. Repair and replace any damaged or rotten decking. Secure loose decking as required.
3. Install specified base sheet over wood deck prior to installing shingles.
4. Set starter shingles in flashing cement.
5. Fabricate and install new drip edge.
6. Fabricate and install new vents.
7. Install new 30 year architectural shingles.
8. Shingle installation shall not commence until modified roof assembly is completed.
9. Issue specified warranty.

12th Street Pavement Repair

The general scope of work includes removal and replacement of approximately 175 linear feet of existing roadway pavement, base, and subgrade material on 12th Street between 8th and 9th Avenue. The existing subgrade soils are exhibiting swelling characteristics. The distressed pavement and poor subgrade material shall be removed and replaced with #610 stone base material and new concrete pavement. Roadway and impacted drives, walks, and drainage will be repaired.
