I. Background:
In light of recurring power failures and a lack of adequate back-up power facilities at the City Hall Facility, the City would like to replace the existing facilities with a reliable, secondary power source. Additionally, due to location of and the recent damage to the buildings motor control center it is the desire of the City to harden this facility with an exterior motor control center and installation of properly sized back-up power facilities to mitigate future, potential concerns in event of outages related to hurricanes, hard freezes, etc. This project will improve the facility’s durability, preparedness for natural disasters, sustainability for the operation of the City, and increase reliability for customers system-wide.
II. Scope of Services:
Design of complete electrical and back-up power solutions. This Work shall include:
• Furnish and Install 450KW, Natural Gas Generator
• Furnish and Install an Automatic Transfer Switch
• Installation of Generator Slab
• Installation of a new exterior MCC building
• Installation of a new MCC
• Installation of splice blocks, conduit and wire to extend existing feeds to MCC building.

WWTP A Basin A-13 Rehabilitation Project

Scope of Work:
A. The City of Lake Charles WWTP ‘A’ is currently under a Compliance Order (CO) with LDEQ. The approved CO schedule requires the rehabilitation of 13 sub basins in the WWTP ‘A’ Basin. The Sub Basins have been prioritized and ranked in order of severity of condition through wastewater modeling of the system.
B. Based on review of CCTV data of the Sub-Basin, recommendations for repair have been made and a cost estimate has been developed.
C. This scope of work covers the repair of the collection system in the WWTP A Sub Basin A-13. The Work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following:
1. Pipe bursting approximately 11,300 linear feet of existing 6” and 8” sewer to new 8”.
2. Open cut replacement of approximately 5,000 linear feet of existing 6” and 8” sewer to new 8”.
3. Replacement of approximately 350 active sewer service laterals.
4. Coating approximately 160 vertical feet of existing and new manholes.
