I. Background:
In light of recurring power failures and a lack of adequate back-up power facilities at the City Hall Facility, the City would like to replace the existing facilities with a reliable, secondary power source. Additionally, due to location of and the recent damage to the buildings motor control center it is the desire of the City to harden this facility with an exterior motor control center and installation of properly sized back-up power facilities to mitigate future, potential concerns in event of outages related to hurricanes, hard freezes, etc. This project will improve the facility’s durability, preparedness for natural disasters, sustainability for the operation of the City, and increase reliability for customers system-wide.
II. Scope of Services:
Design of complete electrical and back-up power solutions. This Work shall include:

• Furnish and Install an Automatic Transfer Switch

• Installation of a new exterior MCC building

Based on review of the CCTV data of the large diameter cleaning and CCTV project within the University area, the assessed pipelines have been designated as critically deficient and priority one deficient. Following review of the assessment the following scope of work has been developed.
Base Bid:
A. There is approximately 9,315 LF of 10-inch through 12-inch gravity sewer pipeline to be rehabilitated as part of this project. Rehabilitation methods include point repairs, pipe bursting, cured-in-place lining, and manhole lining. Also included within this contract is the reinstating of approximately 45 active service laterals and cured-in-place lining of approximately 60 active services.
Alternate No.1:
A. There is approximately 451 vertical feet of cleaning, repairing, and lining of new manholes.
Alternate No.2
A. There is approximately 2,028 LF of 8-inch through 12-inch gravity sewer pipeline to be rehabilitated as part of this project. The general scope of work is to rehabilitate a total of approximately 5,992 linear feet of existing 8-inch sewer main by pipe bursting at the five (5) project sites listed above. The pipe bursting process is to include 8-inch DR-17 HDPE pipe, all insertion pits, full circle clamps, and tie-ins to manholes. All sewer services shall be reconnected to the main. Also included in the scope is the rehabilitation of approximately 17 manholes and the installation of two (2) new 4-foot diameter fiberglass manholes. The scope includes a post video inspection of each project site.
Associated incidental work includes the removal and replacement of approximately 281 square yards of pavement, hydroseeding, and video inspection.
