I. Background:
In light of recurring power failures and a lack of adequate back-up power facilities at the City Hall Facility, the City would like to replace the existing facilities with a reliable, secondary power source. Additionally, due to location of and the recent damage to the buildings motor control center it is the desire of the City to harden this facility with an exterior motor control center and installation of properly sized back-up power facilities to mitigate future, potential concerns in event of outages related to hurricanes, hard freezes, etc. This project will improve the facility’s durability, preparedness for natural disasters, sustainability for the operation of the City, and increase reliability for customers system-wide.
II. Scope of Services:
Design of complete electrical and back-up power solutions. This Work shall include:
• Furnish and Install 450KW, Natural Gas Generator
• Furnish and Install an Automatic Transfer Switch
• Installation of Generator Slab
• Installation of a new exterior MCC building
• Installation of a new MCC
• Installation of splice blocks, conduit and wire to extend existing feeds to MCC building.
• Miscellaneous Site Improvements including concrete paving modifications, fencing modifications, etc.
• Interconnections of Generator/MCC improvements to existing infrastructure

Pavement removed at the Port Wonder site will not be replaced. Pavement removed at the Old Harrah’s site will be replaced.

I. Scope of Services:
A. The City of Lake Charles WWTP ‘A’ is currently under a Compliance Order (CO) with LDEQ. The approved CO schedule requires the rehabilitation of 13 sub basins in the WWTP ‘A’ Basin. The Sub Basins have been prioritized and ranked in order of severity of condition through wastewater modeling of the system.
B. Based on review of CCTV data of the Sub-Basin, recommendations for repair have been made and a cost estimate has been developed.
C. This scope of work covers the repair of the collection system in the WWTP A Sub Basin A-03. The Work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following:
1. Pipe bursting 8080 linear feet of existing 8” and 10” sewer to new 8” and 10”.
2. 30 point repairs to 8” sewer pipe at varying depths 0-12’.
3. 70’ of open cut replacement, 4 point repairs to 18” sewer pipe.
4. Replacement of approximately 132 active sewer service laterals.
5. Coating approximately 350 vertical feet of existing and new manholes.
6. Furnish and Install 3 new manholes.
