This project will replace the existing 85kW indoor open-frame natural gas generator in VMRI 40 with a similarly sized outdoor natural gas generator with weather and sound-insulated housing. The scope of work includes installing a concrete pad, removing and replacing the generator, and reconfiguring all related electrical connections to meet current codes. Patch and repair the existing hole, and grade and seed.

Improvements include removing and replacing old ceiling systems with new lay-in and decorative ceilings, new lighting, new paint finishes on walls and any exposed ceiling, and new floor base. The common student hub area will be updated to receive new carpet and a coffee bar. A new rated glass door will be installed to improve visibility and to better welcome students into the space.
