The project consists of, but is not limited to, the replacement of eight (8) existing underground electrical and telecom vault top concrete slabs that have square manhole lids, with new concrete slabs with ISU standard round manhole lids. This project will involve excavating around the central campus electrical/telecom vaults, sidewalk removal and replacement, re-grading around vaults, concrete removal, and new cast-in-place concrete and rebar work.

CP002466-Utilities-Power Plant-Station Power Improvements-Phase 4
The project consists of, but is not limited to, the replacement of two each 4160-volt Metal clad switchgears, installation of new medium voltage cables, expansion of an existing SCADA control system, installation of 480-volt panels, 120/208-volt panels, 125-volt DC Panels, transfer switches, 480:120/208-volt transformers and associated 600-volt class cables within the Iowa State University Power Plant. Additional work includes the demolition of 2 existing 4160-volt Metal clad switchgears, one 4160-volt metal enclosed switchgear, one 4160-volt Motor Control Center, one 480-volt Motor Control Center and multiple 480-volt and less power panels and associated equipment, raceways and cables. Architectural/Structural work includes, but is not limited to, the construction of two rooms, demolition of two rooms and the infill of a large opening on the first floor of the Power Plant. Mechanical work includes, but is not limited to, the relocation and installation of steam, condensate, chilled water, domestic water, fire protection, and demineralizer piping systems, relocation of steam supplied unit heaters, the replacement of one roof top HVAC unit and the installation of two new air handling units. All work will occur and be scheduled while keeping the Power Plant fully operational.
